Bio: Lora Lea Misterly is the co-owner of Quillisascut Farm started in 1981.
In 1987 Quillisascut Cheese Company was licensed by Washington State
Department of Agriculture to produce farm made cheese for sale to the
public. From 1987 to the present Quillisascut Cheese has been available
through restaurant, wholesale accounts and direct marketed from the farm and
at farmers markets. Since 2002 Quillisascut Farm School of the Domestic
Arts has offered on-farm educational programs for culinary students and
professionals, agriculture educators (University extension, ag. non-profits
groups) beginning farmers, and food enthusiasts. To date 250 people have
been through the Quillisascut program.
